Handyman Technician

Location: Frederick, Maryland

Job Description

Our Handymen perform the following services for our senior clients:

• Handyman repairs and maintenance services
• Senior Home Safety Inspections
• Year-Round Home Maintenance
• Light electrical and plumbing services

Other duties include:

• Contributing to a positive living environment to enhance the client’s quality of life
• Completing the Customer Invoice for each service call
• Regularly communicating with supervisor and office staff

Qualifications:

• Must use own truck/van and tools
• Five or more years experience in previous trade related work
• Skills in all or many of the following areas: carpentry, painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, windows and doors, tile and flooring, siding/roofing, small appliances, lawn and garden
• Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
• Perform a satisfactory background check
• Perform a drug-free screening
• Have a clean driving record
• Ability to lift, push or pull 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel and reach
• Ability to withstand exposure to dust, mold, mildew and cleaning solutions
• Ability to understand and speak English clearly in person and on the telephone
• Ability to read and write English on a normal adult level
• Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations
